With Cheney, It's A Lose/Lose
The Vice President shot his friend in the face.
The Democrats are jumping up and down about how it proves Cheney lacks accountability because he went into hiding and didn't release information right away.
The Republicans are jumping up and down about how it proves the Dems are out to get the White House and are fixated on the most unimportant things.
What we should be jumping up and down about is the embarassment.
The Vice President had a few beers shot his friend in the face. That is something you'd expect from your idiot cousin who has a new tale each Christmas of losing his job, his wife and/or his car due to some blackout drinking binge. But no, it was our VP who did it.
It's an embarassment that the 2nd-in-Command of our great nation cannot conduct himself with more caution and dignity than the local idiot.
It's an embarassment that Cheney cannot take his lumps rather than having to huddle with handlers for several days to figure out the best spin.
For shame. I, for one, am sick of being embarassed by the White House.
